At first, we were going to have a ghost child and ghost dad as the figures that can be seen in the background of the film. However, after doing further research and practice shots, we thought that we would change some characters around. Instead of having a child ghost, we decided to have a ghost man and woman. This is because we looked at the film, 'The woman in black,' and thought that having a woman instead of a child in the background with a white face and dark colours would make it appear creepier, and so that the audience could associate the characters to the woman in black in our film. The fact that the character will have a pale face and wear dark colours will make our film scarier, we believe.
This photo is the sort affect we want to create. We want the ghost woman to have a pale face, wear dark colours and be a figure in the background. We thought as well, that having an older person portray the ghost would represent more danger. If we had a child, it could be creepier, but a child is not as scary compared to an adult who is much stronger than our protagonist.
