Practice shots for our film

We wanted to practice some shots that we could use in our film. This was a good way to experiment with the lighting and different ways we could do the shots that we aim to include in our film.

The first shot we used - Person out of focus in the background:
We did this by setting up the focus manually. Then, we zoomed in and focused on one part, after zooming back out the person in the background was out of focus. We aim to use these types of shots in our film to show that there is someone in the background. We experimented with different types of lighting to see which atmosphere created the right affect.

The second shot we used - Two people in one place:
We did this by having one continuous shot so that the camera didn't move. We had one person walking into the middle then walking off, they then changed sides and did the same at the other side. We split the shot in half, layered them over each other and changed the opacity. This made it appear that there were two of the same people and that they were ghosts. We want to use a shot like this in our film to make it appear like there are ghosts. We could finish our film with Agnes like this to prove that she is a ghost, then she could completely fade out.
