Individual research into genre

Storyline 1:

My first idea was based around a fantasy romance genre. I developed my idea after seeing a short film called "Nuit Blanche" by Arev Monukian. This was a silent 5 minute film involving a lot of cinematography and special effects. I liked the idea because a full dramatic film was shown in a short time and I found it very engaging. I took my idea from here but changed it to be more relevant to what is available for me and my group to film.

I liked the genre idea because it was different to the genres of films I have made in the past. My film involves the different events of what has happened in a womens' life involving flashbacks to the events. Each thing that happens to her builds up to the main event as to why she has died. Similarly to "Nuit Blanche" the high point of her death is she is involved in a car crash as she walks across the road towards the man. The fantasy is shown in my film by the women as a dead lady fantasising about seeing him again. And the romance is shown where they walk across the road towards each other and she ends up dying because of him. All the flashbacks refer back to him and the situations she gets herself into because of him.
My idea was inspired by this film but I have elaborated on it and made it more eventful and created more events to specify the genre.
