- Girl keeps on getting threatening/black mail letters in her house
- She wants to find out who is sending them
- In the end she is the one sending them because she has a split personality
The beginning of the film:
The beginning of the film could begin by someone being chased through the streets and then killed. Then the protagonist wakes up in bed, finding a blackmail letter through the post. it becomes clear to the audience that she has been receiving several blackmail letters and she wants to find out who's sending them, and for them to stop.
The middle of the film:
The protagonist keeps on getting more and more blackmail letters, until one day they say that if they don't go somewhere someone will die. They end up going to the destination to find a body. However the person is just alive and does not seem happy or pleased to see the protagonist. The protagonist is about to call an ambulance when she realises all the blood all over her.
The end of the film:
It turns out that the protagonist has a split personality and it was her who was sending the letters to herself. She went to the crime scene and injured the person herself. At the end she realises this and the film finishes by her killing the victim.
I got the inspiration for my idea from the film "Hide and seek," and "Psycho." This too includes the protagonist having a split personality disorder and they do not realise it. I like the twist at the end, and I think that t would be a good thing to incorporate into my film.
Cinematography we could use:
To create a scary effect we could incorporate many 'wide shots' and 'close ups.' This would make our film scarier and add an eerie affect to the film. As well as this, the use of 'low angle' and 'high angle' shots would demonstrate the power and status of characters in the film.
Types of character in this film:
The film will be set from the protagonists point of view. There is usually an antagonist in horror films to help the storyline move along, but the twist in this particular film is that the protagonist is also the antagonist.

Iconography used in horror films:
Knives
Knives are commonly used in horror films. They add a scarier affect and add suspense which is very important for this specific genre. In this particular film knives would be essential to portray the protagonist as the antagonist.
Blood
Blood is also extremely important in horror films. It represents that something bad has happened or is going to happen. Blood would be important in our film as it will help the protagonist realise that they are the antagonist.
Children's' writing
This is often used in horror films. For example in films such as "Hide and seek" and "The woman in black" children's writing makes the film a lot scarier. We could use this writing style in our film for the black mail letters.
