- Person lives in their house alone
- They think that it is haunted
- Things in the house keep on getting moved, and they keep on thinking that they're seeing people around the house
- In the end, they are really dead/a ghost
- And the "ghosts" are actually the new house owners
The beginning of the film:
The film would start of with the protagonist being involved in an accident of some sort, such as a car accident, being mugged or falling off their bike etc. However in the next scene they seem to be at home looking well and healthy.
The middle of the film:
As the film progresses, weird and paranormal events begin to occur in the protagonists house. For example, the protagonist could put down a cup, turn their back and when they look back it could have moved. Also, they could keep on seeing shadows and people around their house and believe that they are ghosts and that their house is haunted.
The end of the film:
In the end the protagonist remembers that they died in the incident in the beginning of the movie, which they remember due to the constant flash backs that would appear throughout the film. They realise that they are in fact dead, and that the "ghosts," are really the new house owners.
Cinematography we could use:
Again in this film, i believe that 'close ups' would be essential to bring the audience into the film and create a scarier atmosphere. After research, I understand that most horror films include certain camera shots such as 'close ups' and 'high angle shots.' This will make our film scarier as the audience will associate our film with other well known horror movies.
Types of character in this film:
We could base the protagonist in this film on Nicole Kidman's character from "The others." This is because she is oblivious to what is really happening. As well as this, the protagonist will have no idea that they are really dead.

Iconography used in this type of horror film:
Shadows
Shadows would be important in this film as they would create an eerie affect and also give the overall atmosphere a scary and jumpy feel to it. The use of shadows in the film would represent the "alive people" in the house.
Blood
Blood is a very well known symbol in horror films. If we incorporated blood into the flashbacks used in the film, then it would illustrate to the audience what the genre of the film is.
Knives
Knives are often used in horror films as they represent danger and murder. If we used a knife in our film, then it could show that the protagonist is in danger and it creates a scarier effect on the film.
